My name is Stacy, and my husband and our daughter share our home with 2 pitbulls, a great dane, a bullmastiff, a miniature dachshund, 2 cats, several fish and 2 turtles.  I have volunteered/fostered with various rescues for a few years now, and we have always taken in (even if only temporarily) an animal with nowhere else to go.  Pitbulls and their undeserved reputation have moved me to do what I can to help this much misunderstood breed.

I decided to create this site out of frustration over the negative attitudes people have about pit bulls and pit bull type dogs.  Hopefully here, people will learn that not all pit bulls are bad, evil monsters.  Some of the "people" that were entrusted with the care of some of these gentle, loving and loyal animals betrayed that trust and took advantage of the breeds natural desire to please their humans and created the "problem" pit bulls that you hear so often about.  Unfortunately, what most people never hear about are what we responsible pit bull owners already know...that these dogs are wonderful, loyal, loving companions when treated with the smallest amount of kindness.  Any dog can become vicious in the wrong hands.

Before we took in Mindi, she was destined to a life of breeding and fighting.
